Same thing goes for the Russian units, though I feel that both summer/winter versions of Russian soldiers look pretty good, minus the winter male snipers who unfortunatly look like the KKK You see it on the German Pioneers and Mortar Crews (both of which have mixed white and green uniforms) or give the Grenadier the winter great coat. I can understand straying away from full white uniforms as they would be hard to see but I dont see why they couldnt do a mix of winter uniforms.
Most of them I dont mind but the fur shawl Grenadiers have been an eyesore from day one. Winter uniforms for Germans are hit and miss per unit. I can understand the concern for certain uniforms/camo blending in too well with terrain and making it difficult to keep track of smaller units, but the fact is that there are many better options that would still be easily visable than the current lollipop green and fur winter shawl of the grenadiers.įor instance standard German infantry wore field grey or sometimes the dark green you see for the german weapon crews in CoH2 (Though I believe the green uniforms were generally reserved for artillery)
I agree with Water Melown, Relic should make a Skins DLC or at least allow modding for new skins. Just a thought guys anybody else want some infantry skins?!?!! free it up add new stuff such as a winter white uniform for the Germans and russians i have no idea why you went for a "robin hood" like cape instead for vanilla Grens but each to their own i guess. After a few 100 od games you do start to get tired of your blotchy grenadiers and same old green coated and yellow coated infantry. I find this a must considering the god awfull skin you have given the grenadiers for "summer camoflage" you seam to have gotten the rest correct such as ostruppen, you even have some hostorical accuracy with them bad boys but i feel like you just kind of emptied the last of the paint you had left then spat on it and that is what came out.īut In General i feel that i would equally appreciate and gladly as much as i hate to say it spend money on skins for this even though i could get them for free in COH1, i like to make my army as unique as possible and mix and match. I'll get straight to the point, Relic any chance you could some infantry skins (even as DLC or free) i'm not bothered either way.
